Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) carefully before accessing our health and safety training, as they are legally binding.

Definitions

“We,” “Us,” or “Company” refers to Skills Shop Ltd, the provider of the training services.

“You” refers to the individual participant or the organisation enrolling in any training programme.

Training Methods

2.1 In-Person Courses

– Sessions will be conducted at designated training venues or at your specified location, as agreed upon by both parties.

– If training is conducted at your specified location, you must provide accurate information about the venue, including specific requirements or facilities needed.

– The venue must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations and provide a safe and appropriate training environment.

– We reserve the right to inspect the venue before the scheduled training session. If deemed unsuitable or hazardous, we may request an alternative venue or reschedule the session. Any additional costs incurred will be your responsibility.

– You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from non-compliance with health and safety regulations at your venue.

2.2 Blended Courses

– These courses combine in-person and online elements.

– Online modules must be completed before attending any practical sessions.

– While we may provide a recommended timeline, it is your responsibility to ensure timely completion of the modules.

2.3 Online Courses

– Courses are delivered via our online platform, which may include video lectures, interactive modules, quizzes, and assessments.

– You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the online materials during the training period.

– You must not share, distribute, or disclose the online materials without our explicit written permission.

– The materials may be protected by copyright laws, and you agree to respect these rights.

– We reserve the right to update or modify online materials at our discretion, without prior notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and shall not be liable for any technical difficulties.

Behaviour

Conduct: Participants must behave professionally and respectfully throughout training. Any disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the course without a refund.

Compliance: You must comply with all relevant health and safety laws and policies. Failure to do so may result in termination of access to training without refund.

Payment

Accepted Quotation: The fees for training will be clearly outlined in the proposal. By accepting the quotation, you agree to pay the stated fees.

Additional Services: Any additional services beyond the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.

Quotation Amendments: Any requested changes after acceptance of the quotation must be submitted in writing. A revised quotation will be provided for approval.

Payment Methods: Full payment is required to access online courses and secure practical training dates. Payments can be made via our secure online gateway or BACS transfer.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

5.1 Online Courses

– Once accessed, no refund will be provided for the online element of a course.

5.2 In-Person Courses

If you cancel a scheduled in-person training session, the refund policy is as follows:

More than 30 days before training date: Full refund.

15 to 30 days before training date: 50% refund.

Less than 15 days before training date: No refund.

Within 14 days of cancellation: A credit note for the full amount will be issued, which can be used for future training.

Liability

– While we take reasonable precautions to deliver accurate and effective training, you acknowledge that the implementation of health and safety practices remains your responsibility.

– We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from the application of training provided.

– You are responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during and after training.

Confidentiality

– Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information shared during training.

– Confidential information shall not be disclosed or used for any purpose other than the intended training.

Amendments

– We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website. Your continued participation in training after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review updates periodically.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

– This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

– Any disputes, including those related to electronic signatures, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

DECLARATION

By enrolling in our training, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. You further acknowledge that your electronic signature constitutes a legally binding agreement under the UK Electronic Communications Act 2000 and the eIDAS Regulation.
